Black Breeze

Andy Aryeetey

My voice tiptoes
For you are asleep
My eyes shoo my hands
For you are at peace.

I can watch you all night
Standing here hiding guilt from the light
In the morning, our hearts
They will whisper to each other...

The rise and fall
The heaves and sighs
Oh soft, soft Dorothy
Art thou not ashamed?

How crooked is this room
Wherein I foster perils
No rose without thorns
Danger beckons, dog is dog.

Dirty old bugger
Softly, softer even
Your smell touches me
And the night breeze is aroused.

The devil is a liar
Abonsan jata ni.*
School girl, precocious school girl
Black wind, night breeze.

Sweet sweet Dorothy
School girl, precocious school girl...
Yes, headmaster...
I love you.
